Headquarters for Coast Guard District 17, USCG Juneau monitors the waters along Alaska's southeastern coast, performing vital search and rescue, environmental protection, and ice-breaking operations.

Performing a full spectrum of search and rescue, aids to navigation, and marine safety operations, Sector Juneau oversees four large cutters and manages Marine Safety Detachments Ketchikan and Sitka, Aids to Navigation Team Sitka, Small Boat Stations Juneau and Ketchikan, and Sector Field Office Ketchikan. Providing integrated command and control capabilities, USCG Juneau is a powerful operational and strategic force that enables the Coast Guard to meet its mission in Alaska.
