Builder (BU) The U.S. Navy's Builders support all Navy construction, and thereby contribute to the success of the entire service. Navy builders are like civilian construction workers. They are skilled carpenters, plasterers, roofers, cement finishers, asphalt workers, masons, and painters. They build and repair all types of structures including: piers, bridges, towers, schools, offices, houses, and other buildings. This coin salutes the service of all Builders, whose tireless dedication to duty helps to support the Navy's outstanding servicemen and women stationed worldwide. Minted on the obverse against a blue enameled backdrop is the specialty insignia of the U.S. Navy Builders. The reverse contains a stylized anchor design, which incorporates a full color rendering of the U.S. Navy's official seal. Struck in a cuper nickel alloy, this coin contains an antique finish.
