Mount Adams' snow-capped dome stands at 12,276 feet, making it the third largest peak in the Cascades and the second highest peak in Washington State.

Located east of the Cascade Crest in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, it is more remote than some of the other peaks in the Cascade Range, but is still highly accessible, attracting thousands of visitors to its slopes each year. While Mt. Adams contains some technically difficult routes on its northern and eastern flanks, its south slope route is more easily managed.

This USGS Benchmark replica commemorates the  achievement of all those who have ascended up Mt. Adams' steep slopes. The obverse contains an impressive re-creation of the official USGS Benchmark that appears on the mountain's lofty peak. The reverse contains a space for engraving.

Minted in proof-like MerlinGold,® a proprietary brass alloy that simulates the look and feel of gold, this three-inch medallion is coated with an antique bronze finish. Each benchmark medallion comes in its own drawstring velour pouch accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Engraving is easy and inexpensive. Just type in your message below.
