Founded in 1966, the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) provides education and mentoring for America's youth designed to promote excellence in military and civilian leadership. Over the past four decades, the Air Force JROTC has emphasized the importance of responsible citizenship and active public service, offering instruction in leadership, communication, and a full range of technical topics to its more than 100,000 members. Comprised of approximately 800 units, the JROTC is led by retired members of the U.S. Air Force, whose expertise and experience is vital to the program's continued success.
