Coyote Bronze Antique
The fastest of the North American wild dogs, the Coyote can reach speeds of up to forty miles per hour.
Fiercely territorial, these animals live in packs similar to wolves and are thought to mate for life, typically producing several pups each year. Favoring prairies and open woodlands, the Coyote's diet is varied and includes small mammals, plants, and birds. Weighing 30-40 pounds, they range in length from 43-53 inches. Skilled hunters, they rely on their sharp eyesight, keen sense of smell, and remarkable agility to stalk and capture prey, leaping as far as fourteen feet to pounce on their victims.
