U.S. Army Pacific Command

Protecting America's vital interests in the Pacific for more than 50 years, the U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) is a critical component of the U.S. Military arsenal. 

Strategically headquartered at Fort Shafter, the oldest military post in Hawaii, USARPAC is charged with the mission of training and equipping combat-ready soldiers to support the operations of the U.S. Pacific Command. Composed of more than 35,000 military and civilian personnel, USARPAC oversees 13 subordinate commands and maintains one of the largest areas of responsibility of any U.S. Army Command. In recent years, USARPAC Soldiers have played a major role in Homeland Security initiatives and continue to serve with distinction throughout the Asia-Pacific area of operations.

This coin salutes the vigilance and strength of the U.S. Army Pacific Command as it continues to support America's global military mission. The obverse replicates the design and detail of USARPAC's shoulder sleeve insignia, which contains a red arrow, outlined in white, pointing upward at a 30 degree angle; and the stars of the Ursa Major and the Southern Cross constellations. The reverse bears the U.S. Army's official seal.  

Minted in a brass alloy and finished in bronze, this coin is imbued with bold enamel on both sides. Each coin comes packaged with a detailed header card that describes the mission and history of the U.S. Army.
