Strategically headquartered at Fort Shafter, the oldest military post in Hawaii, USARPAC is charged with the mission of training and equipping combat-ready soldiers to support the operations of the U.S. Pacific Command. The obverse replicates the design and detail of USARPAC's shoulder sleeve insignia, which contains a red arrow, outlined in white, pointing upward at a 30 degree angle; and the stars of the Ursa Major and the Southern Cross constellations. The reverse bears the U.S. Army's official seal. Minted in a brass alloy and finished in bronze, this coin is imbued with bold enamel on both sides.
