Civil Air Patrol
Formed just days before the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) was a vital part of America's aerial arsenal throughout World War 2.
Comprised entirely of volunteers with little or no military training, the first pilots of the CAP proved extremely effective in performing coastal patrol missions and engaging in anti-submarine warfare. Today, the Civil Air Patrol is the official civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force and primarily conducts non-combat search and rescue and reconnaissance missions.
This coin salutes the enduring service of the Civil Air Patrol as it continues to aid in America's air defense. The obverse bears the Civil Air Patrol emblem while the reverse contains a space for engraving.
This coin is struck in a proprietary brass alloy, and given an antique bronze finish. Each coin comes packaged with a descriptive header card that chronicles the unique contributions of the Civil Air Patrol to America's national security.
We are sorry to inform you that at this time we are no longer offering engraving services. We recommend you take any pieces to your local Trophy & Award shop, or retailers that specialize in engravable products such as "Things Remembered", and they will be able to engrave our products for you.
