The Grand Canyon National Park uncirculated quarter is the fourth of 2010 and the fourth overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters ™ Program. All design candidates were developed in consultation with representatives of Grand Canyon National Park. The quarters were struck by the United States Mint in Philadelphia, and each bears the “P” mint mark.

On the obverse of this beautiful coin is the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan, which has been restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original model. The reverse image features a view of the cliff-side granaries above the Nankoweap Delta in Marble Canyon near the Colorado River.  Marble Canyon is the northernmost section of the Grand Canyon, and the granaries were used for storing food and seeds starting around 500 A.D.

Obverse inscriptions are United States of America, Liberty, In God We Trust, and Quarter Dollar.  The reverse of this stunning quarter bears the inscriptions Grand Canyon, Arizona, 2010, and E Pluribus Unum.
