Mt. Adams Bench Mark Mount Adams' glacier-clad dome stands at 12,276 feet, making it the third largest peak in the Cascades and the second highest peak in Washington State. Located east of the Cascade Crest in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, it is more remote than some of the other peaks in the Cascade Range, but is still highly accessible, attracting thousands of visitors to its slopes each year. While Mt. Adams contains some technically difficult routes on its northern and eastern flanks, its south slope route is more easily managed. This USGS bench mark replica commemorates the achievement of all those who have ascended up Mt. Adams' steep slopes. The obverse contains an impressive re-creation of the official USGS bench mark afixed on the mountain's lofty summit. The reverse contains a space for engraving. Minted in solid bronze in the style of actual USGS bench marks (not the lesser-quality, simulated bench marks others make from lead and tin), this three-inch medallion comes in its own drawstring velour pouch accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. We are sorry to inform you that at this time we are no longer offering engraving services. We recommend you take any pieces to your local Trophy & Award shop, or retailers that specialize in engravable products such as "Things Remembered", and they will be able to engrave our products for you.
