The United States Mint issued a Silver Dollar set to commemorate the Games of the XXIII Olympiad that were held in Los Angeles, California in 1984. The set consists of one silver dollar coin from the Philadelphia Mint, one silver dollar coin from the Denver Mint and one silver dollar coin from the San Francisco Mint.

These coins were sold to raise money to train the Olympic teams, to support local and amateur athletic programs and to support the 1984 Olympiad in Los Angeles, California.

The 1984 Olympic silver dollar was designed by Robert Graham, an American sculptor, who also created the sculpture placed at the entrance of the Los Angeles Coliseum. The obverse features Graham's sculpture with the Coliseum in the background. The reverse features an American eagle

These gorgeous brilliant uncirculated coins were minted of 90% Silver and 10% Copper and contain .77 of an ounce pure silver, and will come to you in their original mint packaging.
