This special silver dollar coin, created by the U.S. Mint to commemorate the 236th Anniversary of the U.S. Army, celebrates the dedication and determination of all U.S. Army Soldiers throughout history. 

The obverse of this commemorative coin features the images of a male and female soldier at the foreground, with a globe in the background, symbolizing the worldwide deployment of the 21st century U.S. Army and its commitment to defend the interests of the United States. 

The reverse features the Great Seal of the United States, and also includes inscriptions that are symbolic of the seven core values espoused by the U.S. Army: LOYALTY, DUTY, RESPECT, SELFLESS SERVICE, HONOR, INTEGRITY and PERSONAL COURAGE. 

This uncirculated commemorative silver dollar is struck from 90% silver and 10% copper, and includes a silver content of 0.7736 troy ounces.
