This silver dollar, minted in 90% silver and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver, has a diameter of 38.1mm and a weight of 26.73 grams. The obverse of the coin was designed by John Mercanti and highlights a picture of patriot Crispus Attucks. Ed Dwight was the first African American trained to be an astronaut, and designed the reverse. It depicts the Black Patriots Memorial, meant to honor the African American Revolutionary patriots and their families.
