Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the completion of Mount Rushmore, this superbly designed coin is a tribute to one of America’s most popular historic symbols, and a fine addition to any veteran or beginning coin collection. 

The obverse of the 1991 Mount Rushmore Commemorative Uncirculated Clad Half Dollar was designed by artist Marcel Jovine and features a striking image of Mount Rushmore, while the design on the reverse was made by artist James Ferrell and features an image of the American Bison – an iconic symbol of the American frontier. The composition of the 1991 Mount Rushmore Commemorative Uncirculated Clad Half Dollar is 92% copper and 8% nickel and comes in the original US Mint packaging.

This exceedingly popular coin has long been considered the paragon of minting skill, with each coin featuring the historic sculpture bordered by frosted edges. The memorial displays 60 foot sculptures of four famous Presidents; Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. The monument attracts nearly three million visitors every year and remains a testament to our American heritage. The carving commenced in 1927 and finally completed in 1941.
