The American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series is the perfect way to showcase your Presidential $1 Coin. This Coin Cover from the US Mint would make a remarkable gift for a young collector or loved one interested in owning a unique piece of United States history.
This limited-edition cover – only 20,000 produced – features two William McKinley $1 Coins from the first day of production – December 11, 2012 from the Philadelphia Mint, and October 3, 2012 from the Denver Mint. The coins are mounted on a display card inside an envelope with one of the four U.S. Four Flags (Forever®) stamps. The cover also features a portrait of President McKinley, and the postmark of March 19, 2013, Canton, OH, marks the day the William McKinley $1 Coin Cover was issued by the United States Mint.
These coins’ designs display large, dramatic artwork and edge-incused inscriptions of the year, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the mint mark. Each coin features a likeness of President William McKinley and has a common reverse design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty.
The design inscriptions on the obverse of the 2013 William McKinley $1 Coin are: WILLIAM McKINLEY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 25th PRESIDENT, and 1897-1901 the years President McKinley was in office.
