The Personnel in DoD and Joint Activities patch features a Swiss style shield with the coat of arms of the United States represented. The coat of arms has traditionally been utilized to represent the United States Army.  The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 28 May 1993.

This patch, meant to be worn on the Army Combat Uniform, is sold in pairs with hook closures.
