U.S. Army Patch - 25th Infantry Division - Color
The 25th Infantry Division is a U.S. Army division based in Hawaii which conducts military operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The division has been nicknamed "Tropic Lightning", "Electric Strawberry", and the Củ Chi National Guard during the Vietnam War.
The 25th Infantry Division ACU patch features a taro leaf, stem up, surrounded by a border, and a lightning flash. The taro leaf is indicative of the descent of the 25th Division from the Hawaiian Division, while the lightning flash is representative of the manner in which the Division performs its allotted assignments. The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized on 25 September 1944. It was amended to authorize wear of the airborne tab by the 4th Brigade Combat Team only on 29 March 2012.
This patch is sold in pairs with hook closures.
