U.S. Army Patch - 18th Airborne - ACU

The XVIII Airborne Corps is the corps of the United States Army designed for rapid deployment anywhere in the world. It is referred to as "America's Contingency Corps". Its headquarters are at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

The patch features a dragon’s head, representative of cunning, endurance and ferocity against enemies and is symbolic of the strategy and powerful attack of the Corps. The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally approved for the 18th Army Corps on 15 February 1944. It was amended to change the description and add the airborne tab on 1 May 1950. The insignia was designated for the XVIII Airborne Corps on 16 September 1958.

This patch, meant to be worn on the Army Combat Uniform, is sold in pairs with a hook closure.
