U.S. Army Patch - Eighth Army - Color

The Eighth United States Army, is the commanding formation of all United States Army forces in South Korea. A task force of troops which are composed of personnel from the Republic of Korea-United States alliance, it is based in Seoul, South Korea.

The Eighth Army patch features a red octagon, a white cross pattee with rounded corners, all within a red border. Red and white are the colors used to distinguish the flags of Armies. The white cross pattee divides the octagon into eight areas representing the numerical designation of the Army. The insignia was approved on 10 May 1944.
