2014 US Mint America the Beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park 3-Coin SetThe twenty first coin in the US Mint’s popular America the Beautiful quarters series, this 2014 Great Smoky Mountains National Park America the Beautiful three-coin set depicts a small segment of the lush forest that made this park famous.

The set contains two uncirculated Great Smoky Mountains National Park quarters - one each from the Philadelphia US Mint and the Denver US Mint, as well as one proof-quality coin from the San Francisco US Mint. An equally ideal gift item for fans of our national parks – especially Great Smoky Mountains National Park – and for beginning coin collectors by displaying the same item from three mints sampled by uncirculated and proof, each set mounts the coins on a durable plastic card with a description and image of the national park and a Certificate of Authenticity on the back.

In all, there will be up to 56 specially designed numismatic offerings between 2010 and 2021.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park features wondrous biodiversity, with ridge upon ridge of forest straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is world renowned for its diverse plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of southern Appalachian mountain culture. It is America’s most-visited national park. It was first established as a national site on May 22, 1926.

The other coins dated 2014 will feature:

Shenandoah National Park in Virginia

Arches National Park in Utah

Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado
