This quarter was minted at the Denver US Mint. An equally ideal gift item for fans of our national parks – especially Great Smoky Mountains National Park – and for beginning coin collectors.

In all, there will be up to 56 specially designed numismatic offerings between 2010 and 2021.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park features wondrous biodiversity, with ridge upon ridge of forest straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is world renowned for its diverse plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of southern Appalachian mountain culture. It is America’s most-visited national park. It was first established as a national site on May 22, 1926.

This coin comes packaged in a clear plastic coin flip.
