coin packaging50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Set

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy half-dollar, first released in 1964, this special uncirculated two-coin set honors one of the great Presidents in United States history. This set would make an excellent addition for any collector or as the perfect gift!

The 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Set includes two 2014 Kennedy half-dollars with uncirculated finishes, one each from the United States Mint at Philadelphia and Denver, a coin card, and graphic folder. On the front of the folder is the United States Mint logo with the words “50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Set.” The inside of the folder includes the reverse of the 1964 Kennedy half-dollar, smaller coin images of the obverse and reverse of the coin, and information regarding the 50th anniversary of this coin design. The two half-dollars are encapsulated in a separate card and both the obverse and reverse are visible.

The obverse of the 2014 Kennedy half-dollar, designed by Gilroy Roberts, shows a portrait of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, which was based on a portrait prepared for Kennedy’s presidential medal created by Roberts shortly after Kennedy’s assassination. The reverse, by Frank Gasparro, is based on the presidential seal and consists of a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast, holding a symbolic olive branch and a bundle of 13 arrows, 50 stars surrounding the design.

Coin design descriptions, Certificate of Authenticity, coin specifications, and the official Department of the Treasury seal are printed on the back of the card containing the two coins.
