2015 America the Beautiful Quarter Silver Proof Set

coin packagingFeaturing all five of the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters, these silver proof-condition U.S. Mint commemorative quarter dollars make a spectacular addition to any collection. These silver proof quarter commemoratives depict the natural beauty of each featured national park.

This set is a wonderful entry for a beginning coin collector or as a way to finish a collection. American history buffs and National Parks enthusiasts will cherish these coins as stunning examples of the images and symbols that define each location in this great country, from unique flora and fauna to majestic landscapes and historic cultural sites. Minted in 90% silver, adding up to .904 Troy oz total for all five coins, this set includes:

Five new quarter dollar coins honoring Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska; Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana; Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia; Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware; and Saratoga National Historical Park in New York.

These proof coins are struck from specially selected and polished planchets (coin blanks). The dies used to strike these coins are specially prepared as well, and highly polished. Proof coins are struck twice to ensure an increased sharpness in detail. The coins also exhibit a mirror finish because of the polished die and planchet. All coins were struck at the San Francisco Mint and come in their original U.S. Mint packaging.
