Training citizen airmen to defend the interests of the United States throughout the world, the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) is an essential element of the Air Force arsenal.

Initially established as a field operating agency in 1948, the modern AFRC has served as the Ninth Major Command of the United States Air Force since 1997. Comprised of more than 600 mission support units, it is equipped to execute a range of vital functions, including airlift, reconnaissance, mobility support, and logistics operations. Headquartered at Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia, AFRC's highly skilled team of pilots are capable of deploying anywhere in the world at a moment's notice to engage the enemy. Enhancing the combat readiness and global reach potential of the U.S. Air Force, the AFRC plays an important role in sustaining America's air superiority.

This coin honors the courage and skill of the members of the Air Force Reserve Command and salutes their contribution to America's national security efforts. The obverse contains the official seal of the Air Force Reserve Command. The reverse bears the official emblem of the U.S. Air Force.

Minted in a brass alloy and finished in antique bronze, this coin contains rich  red, white, and blue enamel accents. Each coin comes packaged with a header card that describes the mission and history of the Air Force Reserve Command.
